Gun Law/ Rights

Did you know that the United States has 70 million to 310 million guns throughout the country? One reason why we should have the right to bear arms is because they help us in self-defense situations a criminal will think twice before trying to rob someone if they know the person they are robbing is armed. It will help reduce crime because people can take action into their own hands. Store robbers will need to reconsider robbing a store if the owner has a gun. Teachers could carry guns in case an intruder is in the building to prevent high amounts of casualties.
Bearing arms is an American right. The government cannot take away our right to bear arms because it will give total control to the government. The constitution was made so the people can over throw the government in case they have gone corrupt or are failing to do its job. If they take away our guns, the criminals who illegally obtain them will have the upper hand and leave us vulnerable to them. Even though the government provides us with protection sometimes they cannot be everywhere and people need to take action into their own hands.
We need control of our guns. Regulating the guns would be a much better decision since no one needs a light machine gun to defend themselves with all they need is a small pistol. Regulating the guns will not only stop horrific crimes from occurring, it prevents criminals from purchasing these high caliber weapons easily in the United States. We could regulate guns so that gun stores only offer weapons that are considered morally right: a pistol with only a magazine of 5 bullets. Compared to what a person that could buy an Ak-47 with a drum magazine that has 200 bullets. We could then stop selling magazines that have more than 5 bullets.

These are the reasons why we should have the right to bears arms but with regulations to help stop abusive owners or criminals.Image result for gun laws
